Educational Interdisciplinarity of the 21st Century

June 10-12, 2026

The scope of the conference concerns 21st-century education in various contexts (formal, non-formal, and informal) as well as lifelong learning, ranging from early childhood to late old age. This includes persons with special educational needs, disadvantaged groups, and national and ethnic minorities (immigrants), regardless of their socio-economic background. Its aim is to promote and popularize scientific achievements contributing to the development of education in the 21st century, present theoretical assumptions and research results in this field, and exchange good practices and experiences regarding supporting the improvement of quality, attractiveness, and accessibility of educational offers for children, youth, and adults. Furthermore, the conference aims to draw attention to increasing participation in education for persons with special educational needs, disadvantaged groups, and national and ethnic minorities (migrants), regardless of their socio-economic background. Therefore, the conference themes will focus on the following issues:

  1. Interdisciplinarity of preschool and early school education
  2. Interdisciplinarity of school education
  3. Interdisciplinarity of adult education
  4. Interdisciplinarity in the education of persons with special educational needs

By the term interdisciplinarity, we understand an approach consisting of combining knowledge and methods from various fields of science to solve complex problems, understand phenomena, or create new innovative solutions. In practice, this means cooperation between scientists and specialists from different industries to jointly analyze a problem and develop a synthesis, i.e., a new, comprehensive approach.
